The CBD Brand that Actually Does What It Says
CBD is having a moment and CBD brands are everywhere right now. But with so many options, it can be tough to know what to look for – and which brands actually follow through on their claims.
That’s where CBDistillery sets itself apart. For the past decade, all of CBDistillery's products have been made with non-GMO, US-grown industrial hemp and with 100% clean ingredients – no corn syrup or artificial colors, flavors, preservatives or sweeteners.
They frequently introduce new and innovative products formulated to meet a variety of wellness needs and customer preferences. And every single batch of CBDistillery’s gummies, oil tinctures, topicals and softgels are tested by an independent, accredited lab to make sure what’s in the package matches what’s on the label.
Right now, CBDistillery is offering our readers a special deal: save 50% on orders of $75 or more with code NEWS50!

Forecast: National Weather Service Miami
The tap is going to taste like a pool until Sunday, two shows at the Boca Museum come down that same day and tonight is the one night it stays open until eight, and the corner by Sanborn Square just cleared its first vote to become an eight story club with a pool on the roof.
Let's get into it.
The Rundown
Your tap is going to taste like a pool until Sunday 💧
Boca Raton Utility Services swapped the drinking water from chloramine to free chlorine on Sept. 27 and holds it there through Sunday, Oct. 11, which is why the kitchen smells faintly of a deep end. Hydrant flushing is running alongside it, so pressure can drop and the water can come out slightly discolored.
Safe to drink. Not safe for a fish tank or a home dialysis machine without asking someone first.
Four more days of it, and then your coffee stops tasting like the Y.

Two shows come down Sunday and tonight is the late night 🎭
Modernisms: Art from the Manes Collection and TYPOE GRAN: Anatomy of a Practice both close at the Boca Raton Museum of Art on Sunday, and Thursday is the only night the doors stay open until 8. The Manes show runs Picasso through Jasper Johns, all of it out of one man's collection.
Adults $16, seniors $12, under 18 free, and it is open until 8 tonight only.
Four days left, and then those walls go blank until November.

The corner by Sanborn Square just cleared its first vote 🌴
The planning board signed off unanimously on Sanborn Tower, an eight story private club at NE 1st Avenue and E. Boca Raton Road, and nobody turned up to object. The plans put an infinity pool and an open air bar on the roof, an Italian restaurant and a speakeasy below that, and Formula 1 simulators somewhere in the middle.
54,681 square feet, a pool on the roof, and city council still has to say yes.
The spa has to close at midnight. Parking, apparently.

What's On
The Girls Club takes over Taverna Kyma 🍸

Sipping for a cause. Photo: The Boca Raton Girls Club
It is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Boca Raton Girls Club is marking it with Pink Social at Taverna Kyma this afternoon, with a live DJ and the brand teams in the room to talk to. Part of every featured cocktail sold goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The Girls Club has it on its page.
Thursday from 3 to 6, with a DJ the whole way through.
Taverna Kyma, 6298 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton. 561-994-2828
Wear pink or do not, nobody is checking at the door.
Thirty minutes, straight off the barrel 🥃
Spirits & Spice pours a short guided whiskey tasting in the shop, small samples drawn off the tapped oak casks on their own wall while somebody talks you through what is in the glass. Twenty one and over, and you get ten percent off anything you carry out that night. A tequila round runs straight after it.
Doors 5:30, thirty minutes, $13.39 all in.
Spirits & Spice, 314 Plaza Real, Boca Raton
Seats were still showing this morning.
Bring the wine, they supply the clay 🎨
Mudworks runs Sip and Spin on Thursday nights, a beginner wheel class where you bring your own bottle and they hand you an apron and two balls of clay. You learn centering, opening and pulling walls, the studio fires and glazes whatever you make, and the room holds eight people. Twenty one and over.
Two hours, 6 to 8, and a seat is $80.
Mudworks Pottery Studio, 4260 NW 1st Ave Suite 54, Boca Raton
Wear something you have stopped loving.
The Plate
The meatballs they have made since 1976 🍝

Order it before you open the menu. Photo: Lynora's
Lynora's calls the Polpette della Casa the dish it has been known for since day one, beef and pork rolled in house, tomato sauce, a spoon of housemade ricotta dropped on top. The rest of the menu is published in full, and the other thing this room orders is the rigatoni alla vodka. The family opened in 1976 and the west Boca room has a covered patio for when the kitchen gets loud.
Meatballs are $16.95, and every single drink is half off from 3 to 6.
Lynora's, 9560 Glades Rd Suite 180, Boca Raton. 561-235-5096
Kitchen runs until ten tonight.
The Glow
The longevity session that costs nothing ✨

A quarter of an hour, lights on. Photo: Cr8 Health
Cr8 Health is two brothers, one a DO and one an acupuncturist, both licensed in Florida. The free session stacks red light, PEMF and hydrogen oxygen therapy into one sitting, and the IV menu is where most people go next. Medical director Dr. Nadav Fields trained in peptide therapy under Dr. William Seeds, which is more bench than this corner of town usually carries.
The first 15 minute longevity session is free, and a first IV drip is $99.
Cr8 Health, 8234 Glades Rd, Boca Raton. 561-922-8418
Call before you drive, the hours are not online.
The Move
Lift heavy, and the first session is free 💪

Yellow tank, loaded bar. Photo: Just LIFT Studios
Just LIFT runs one hour group sessions built around actual lifting, with a certified coach on the floor rather than a screen on the wall. The programming is written for lean muscle rather than a cardio burn, and they say outright that no experience lifting is needed.
The first session is free for full time local residents.
Just LIFT Studios, 170 NW Spanish River Blvd, Boca Raton. 561-576-9466
Bring something that proves you live here and it is on them.
The Find
The Hall of Fame chocolatier is here 🍫

Painted, then filled. Photo: Norman Love Confections
Norman Love has been named the best premium chocolate company in America six times, and the counter is right here in Boca. The shells get painted by hand before anything goes inside them, and the 2026 Halloween set is live now: blood orange, caramel apple, death by chocolate, vanilla caramel and marshmallow, in dark, milk and white.
The ten piece box is $34.
Norman Love Confections, 21200 St. Andrews Blvd. Suite 16, Boca Raton. 561-288-2650
It is a limited run, and it goes when it goes.
Good to Know
Two in house seamstresses, and free pickup ✂

Taken in, not sent away. Photo: JM Cleaners
JM Cleaners has been out west since 1995, and the alterations are done in the shop by Geneve and Erika rather than shipped off to somebody you never meet. They put in a wet cleaning machine this summer, which does the job with water and biodegradable detergent, and the whole price list is published, down to a single hem.
A dress is $20.39, and the first door to door order is 15% off.
JM Cleaners, 9060 Kimberly Blvd. Suite 40-41, Boca Raton. 561-487-7482
Erika is at the machine on Thursdays from nine.

Want Boca to know your name?
Good in Boca lands in local inboxes five mornings a week. We work with a limited number of local businesses that want to be part of what people here are reading, doing, eating and talking about.
If Boca is your customer, you should probably be here.
Want your business featured? Hit reply and tell us what you're up to. We read everything, and we go and look.
That's your day.
Pink Social starts in the afternoon at Taverna Kyma, with a DJ going the whole way and a cocktail list where part of every featured drink goes to breast cancer research. If you are out later, there is half an hour of whiskey poured straight off the cask downtown, and a pottery wheel with your own bottle sitting next to it.
The rest of it keeps. A family recipe older than most of this town, a quarter of an hour under red light, an hour of real lifting with a coach watching your form, chocolate that gets painted before it gets filled, and two seamstresses who will come and collect the pile from your door. Pick one and go.
